Adhering to the Bank’s founding
mission and core values, İşbank has
served our country for 90 years.
2014, the 90th anniversary of the
establishment of İşbank, had a special
meaning for us. Founded on August 26,
1924 as Turkey’s first national bank,
İşbank has provided major contributions
to the development of industry, trade
and agriculture as well as finance in the
country; it has been one of the major
players in Turkey’s economic development
throughout the Bank’s history, now
approaching the century mark.
Consisting of a total of 104 companies,
about 50 thousand employees and direct
participations in 25 companies, İşbank
Group currently appeals to all layers
of society with extremely widespread
business operations and activities. Today,
with a total of 1,358 branches (25 foreign
and 1,333 domestic), İşbank continues to
abide by a strategy that always supports
the Bank’s stakeholders at all times, even
under tough conditions.
The most important advantage we have
that supports İşbank’s pioneering and
leading position is our ability to maintain
the “Most Trusted Bank” reputation in the
eyes of our customers. Continuation of this
valued trust is ensured by the Bank’s stable
shareholder and management structure,
policies carried out without compromise
and general approach that are always based
on advancing the Republic of Turkey’s
economy.
Education, environment, culture
and the arts are areas that İşbank
prioritizes in contributing to the
country’s social development.
At İşbank, we define our most basic
responsibility to the country and our
stakeholders as generating lasting value
over the long term as well as in the short
term. In pursuit of this goal, our activities
focus on education, sports, culture and
the arts, together with efforts to manage
our environmental and social impacts. In
2014, İşbank continued to jointly develop
and implement projects with numerous
civil society organizations in addition to
administering ongoing sponsorships.
As the first national bank in Turkey,
İşbank plans to continue working
for the country’s benefit, with
the same service concept, the
same commitment and the same
determination.
The principles that form the basis of our
management approach are honesty,
reliability, innovation, customer focus,
transparency and service quality. We
carry out all of our business activities
under policies and strategies that are
respectful to our society, individuals and
the environment. Since the founding of the
Republic of Turkey, İşbank has made many
important contributions to the economic
development of the country. As “Turkey’s
Bank”, İşbank plans to continue conducting
its operations in the coming period with a
strong financial structure, an innovative
vision that sets an example to the banking
sector through forward-looking products
and services, with the goal of becoming a
regional financial powerhouse.
As founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
90 years ago and described as “born
directly from the confidence and trust of
the people, in the strict sense a modern,
national bank”, İşbank will continue abiding
by its mission without deviating from its
founding objectives with a strong focus on
innovation.

many colleagues, who contribute to the
successful journey of İşbank; I wish 2015 to
be a successful year for our Bank and our
