sustainability, represents the execution
of current economic activities so as not
to threaten the life cycles of the next
generations. Carrying out business
activities with a consideration to
social responsibilities since the Bank’s
inception, İşbank constantly improves
business processes by closely following
sustainability-focused developments.
Sustainable economic performance
While developing products and services
that add value to the lives of customers,
İşbank designs its business operations
and activities in line with setting financial
profitability and operational efficiency
targets. Positioned as an exemplary
corporate citizen, the Bank believes that
by creating a sustainable financial and
operational performance, it also continues
to create social values.

Powered by deep experience and expertise,
İşbank transfers resources to various
economic actors to support their future
investment plans and has contributed to
the economic growth of the country for 90

İşbank gives utmost importance to carrying
out environmental sustainability efforts
with great precision, due to the increase
in the risks arising from environmental
problems today.
The Bank continues efforts to leave a
more livable environment for future
generations. The Bank carries out a variety
of activities, such as effective natural
resource consumption implementations
and environmental impact assessments
related to lending processes.

responsibility projects
Through social responsibility projects
that make a difference in areas such as
education, environment, culture and the
arts, İşbank continues to provide high
quality contributions to benefit Turkey’s
social development.

Creating employment for Turkey’s economy
is one of İşbank’s primary responsibilities.
İşbank, together with its subsidiaries, is
one of the biggest institutions in Turkey
in terms of employment. With 24,308
employees by the end of 2014, the Bank
offers personnel a business environment
at international standards in terms of
occupational health and safety. In addition
to the current legislation, İşbank gives great
importance to the protection of employee
rights in the framework of universal
standards. The Bank aims to be among the
most preferred employers of competent
professionals in the period ahead.
Supply chain management based on
business continuity
As part of efforts to effectively manage
various operations, İşbank is in collaboration
with numerous suppliers. The Bank regards
suppliers as stakeholders of the value
chain, and bases the Bank’s procurement
policy on the principles of mutual respect
and transparency. For the purposes of
business continuity and productivity, İşbank
encourages suppliers to execute quality
focused practices.
Sustainability reporting complying GRI
and U.N. Global Compact
İşbank presents information concerning
the Bank’s sustainability performance in
different axes to stakeholders in the form
of annual sustainability reports, which
comply with Global Reporting Initiative
standards. The Bank improves business
processes in line with the feedback
received. In addition to the GRI standards,
the İşbank Sustainability Report is prepared
in the framework of the UN Global Compact
Indicators.
Improvements in line with the UN Global
Compact
Since the Bank’s declaration of commitment
to the UN Global Compact on March 7, 2012,
İşbank has achieved significant progress
in the integration of 10 global principles to
its business processes. The Bank intends
to continue making progress towards the
same goals in the future.
İşbank conducts its business operations with the target
of leaving a more livable world to future generations.
