İşbank continues to raise awareness
on the importance of saving.
In addition to its traditional deposits
and investment product range, İşbank
encourages customers to make regular
savings with small amounts through
products that make a difference in the
sector. The Bank’s products that make a
significant difference in the sector include:
Private Pension, Accumulated Deposits,
Düzenli Birikim Talimatı (Regular Saving
Order), Fund Saving Order, Gold Account,
Kumbara Fonu (Money Box Fund), and Üstü
Kalsın (Keep the Change).
The Bank received 178,650 Üstü Kalsın
(Keep the Change) orders, creating a total
investment fund size of TL 51.9 million at
the end of 2015.
“Gold Days at Branches” have been held
since June 2012 in order to deposit “under
the mattress” physical gold to the Bank
accounts as a means of investment without
the risk of theft and loss and facilitating
the transfer of gold into the economy. This
initiative continued to be held at İşbank
branches during weekdays and weekends
throughout 2015.
As part of Gold Banking efforts, the Bank
organized, broadcasted and published
communication campaigns on TV,
newspapers, radio, open air, Internet and
mobile platforms. İşbank also actively used
its social media accounts during the year for
the same purpose. The Bank sent e-mails
and SMSs to inform its customers, who are
situated at locations where Gold Meetings
were held. In 2015, the total amount of
gold accumulated at the branches and at
jewelers was around 2,551 kg.
Special products and services provided to salary-
contracted customers by İşbank significantly
contribute to customer loyalty.
Saving for the Future of our Children:
“Kumbara Fonu (Money Box Fund)”
The İşbank Money Box, put into service
to raise children’s awareness of saving,
turned into a saving plan called “Kumbara
Fonu (Money Box Fund)”, in order to
guarantee the future of our children. The
“Kumbara Fonu (Money Box Fund)” is widely
considered a highly innovative product in
the sector with its mission of guaranteeing
the future of next generations. It has also
made a significant contribution to raising
awareness on long-term savings in Turkey
which is lacking. With a total number of
248,626 participants, the “Kumbara Fonu
(Money Box Fund)” grew to TL 380.8 million
as of year’s end 2015.
Preferred bank in salary payments
By year’s end 2015, İşbank intermediated
the monthly salary payments for
approximately 1.9 million individuals, of
whom 680,000 were Social Security
Institution (SGK) pensioners. Special
products and services exclusively offered to
those who receive their salaries via İşbank
significantly contribute to customer loyalty.
Convenience in OGS and HGS
İşbank maintains a leadership position in
highways and bridges toll payment systems
with a 47% share of the total transaction
volume.
Automatic Pass -Through (OGS) devices
and Rapid Pass-Through (HGS) contactless
protocols that facilitate highway and bridge
crossing tolls are provided to owners of
motor vehicles with special services, under
the guarantee of İşbank.
İşbank provided 715,067 OGS devices
and increased number of the Bank’s HGS
tags to 934,086. The highway and bridge
tolls collected from İşbank OGS devices
amounted to TL 158.6 million; meanwhile,
the Bank’s HGS tag collection totaled TL
159.2 million in 2015.
Western Union at İşbank
Money transfer and receiving transactions
with Western Union, which had been made
available to customers via all branches in
2014, were expanded to Internet Branch
and ATMs in 2015.
İşbank maintains a strong position in
retail cashmanagement.
İşbank provides customers with the
opportunity to make bill payment to 395
different enterprises through the Internet
Branch, Bankamatik machines, mobile
banking channels, branch cashiers or via
automated payment order. The Bank will
continue efforts to increase the number
of enterprises whose bill payments it
intermediates in 2016.
İşbank allows the automatic redirection
of the free balance in customer
accounts, which remains after the daily
transactions, to mutual funds purchased
via the Unlimited Automatic Service-SOS/
Maximum Account. This application offers
customers with a free balance in their
accounts, excluding amounts required for
daily transactions, to purchase mutual
funds. By end-2015, the number of
Unlimited Automatic Service-SOS orders
totaled 1,444,096; meanwhile, the number
of Maximum Account orders, which convert
idle cash in accounts into investment by
automatically purchasing short-term debt
instruments funds, had risen to 802,696.
Synergy and coordination with
Anadolu Sigorta and Anadolu Hayat
Emeklilik
Anadolu Sigorta (a non-life insurer) and
Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik (a life insurance
and private pension company) are each
leaders in their respective sectors. Under
the strong collaboration with these two
subsidiaries, İşbank provides customers
