Activities
In 2015, 8.1 million customers used İşbank
ATMs while the number of customers using
the Bank’s Internet Branch reached 2.5
million.
The transactions made through the digital
channels of the Bank amounted to 82% of
all other comparable transactions.
Apart from the above comparison regarding
total transactions, İşbank’s distribution
channels also have a significant market
position in terms of monetary transaction
volume. The share of digital channels in
total money deposit, cash withdrawal,
credit card payments, EFT and stock
purchase and sales transactions account for
more than 80%.
In 2015, İşbank continued to be the bank
with the widest ATM network, with 6,582
ATMs located across Turkey. Currently,
İşbank operates 2,200 more ATMs than its
closest competitor.
A better customer experience with
common service
In order to reach a perfect customer
experience, the services most used by
customers were brought together as a
common service and refreshed with new
visuals and functionality. As a result, many
different services can now be used under
one common service.
İşCep Innovations:

İşCepMatik
As part of İşbank’s ATM expansion strategy,
the Bank introduced innovations in line
with changing customer preferences and
behaviors. The “Bankamatik” and “İşCep”
brands were merged to form “İşCepMatik,”
a new generation ATM device. The most
important feature of the İşCepMatik
devices is that it brings the mobile
experience forward by interacting with
mobile phones. In addition, İşCepMatik
is domestically produced and does not
have any card reader or keyboard on it.
The cost of the devices fell by nearly half
thanks to the integration all transactions
including security to mobile phones, except
for money withdrawal and depositing
(through ATMs) functions. In 2016, a money
depositing function will also be added to
İşCepMatik.

Free-of-charge Internet with İşCep
By entering into a collaboration with the
Türk Telekom Group, free internet access
was provided to İşCep users at more than 5
thousand Türk TelekomWi-Fi points and at
250 İşbank branches.

“Sosyal Hesap (Social Account)”
The “Sosyal Hesap (Social Account)”,
a first in Turkey, allows İşCep users to
require from their families or friends for
their everyday expenses, such as lunch/
dinner, gifts, entertainment, school and
similar charges to transfer money to
designated bank accounts. The system
also allows them to quickly respond to
similar incoming requests. Through the
“Sosyal Hesap (Social Account)”, İşCep
users are able to communicate their
money collection request to participants,
can select target amounts and dates for
their organizations and are able to closely
and instantly monitor incoming money
flows. “Sosyal Hesap (Social Account)” also
provides customers with the opportunity
to more easily transfer money through
the previously registered account without
having to enter an account number.

İşCep Apple Watch
The “İşCep Apple Watch” application was
released simultaneously to the Bank’s
customers when Apple Watch was offered
for sale in Turkey.
In addition to these innovations, “Parakod”
was positioned as a separate mobile
payment application.
Innovations in the Internet Branch
The e-Government Gateway, which
provides citizens with the opportunity to
access online state/institutional services
from one electronic service point, was
made accessible directly from the Bank’s
Internet Branch, without the need for an
e-State password.
With the efforts carried out in 2015, access
to the “Fırsatla” application, which provides
special promotional campaigns and
opportunities, was made possible directly
through İşbank’s Internet Branch. This was
achieved by having synchronized customer
bank registrations with customers’
Facebook and/or Twitter accounts.
In 2015, “İşCepMatik,” a new-generation ATM
device and a merger of the “Bankamatik” and
“İşCep” brands, was introduced to customers.
