At end-of-year 2015, the Bank had
evaluated 577 unfinished housing projects;
and it decided to take a part in 288 of these
projects. Thereby, İşbank increased the
number of contracted ongoing, unfinished
housing development projects to 573.
İşbank is the first bank to sign an
agreement with the Ministry of
Environment and City Planning under the
Urban Transformation Project. Among all
17 banks that signed an agreement with
the Ministry, the Bank ranked first in terms
of the interest rate support it received
from the Ministry within this project, which
was substantial, with a 7% difference
to its closest competitor. As a result, the
Bank continues to lead the sector urban
transformation loans with a total market
share of 46%. In this context, the Bank
provided 2,122 customers with a total
loan amount of TL 266 million under these
efforts.
As part of the financing of the Bank’s
urban transformation loans, İşbank signed
a funding agreement with the European
Investment Bank in May 2014, to receive
EUR 200 million. The first installment of
EUR 60 million was received on 31 March
2015. Furthermore, under the Turkey
Residential Energy Efficiency Financing
Facility (TuREEFF), the following resource
provision agreements were entered into:
USD 60 million with the European Bank
for Reconstruction and Development
(EBRD), and USD 15 million with the Clean
Technology Fund (CTF). The total funds
amount was received by İşbank as of 31
March 2015.
The content of the Maximum Household
Package, which was merged with Maximum
Card, was further developed with the “Move
Practically” service. This offering allows
customers to manage various services
during residential moves through a single
service channel.
İşbank continued to widen its services range in card
payment systems in 2015.
Process Development/Improvement
The Unfinished Housing Project began to
be implemented in way ensuring that all
documents and information are registered
in a more effective and coordinated
manner. As a result, swifter finalization of
the project was achieved.
Additionally, the Bank completed the
project implemented to improve retail
loan pricing processes. As a result of this
initiative, while customers are subject to
scoring according to their assets in the Bank
and past payment history, retail loan pricing
demands can be answered automatically in
line with the Bank’s market share and profit
target for each loan type.
The housing loan applications received
through digital contact points (e.g. website,
SMS, ATMs, et al.) were integrated with
the automatic decision engine. The Bank
thus aims to finalize e-banking efforts to
improve loan application processes.
Increase inmarket share of card
payment systems
İşbank is a leading participant in the Turkish
card payment systems market with:

In 2015, the Bank increased market share in
all main indicators: number of credit cards,
transaction volume, member merchant
volume and debit card shopping volume.
The application development process of
“İşCep Müzekart,” the mobile application
allowing to determine the real-time
location information of visitors with smart
phones in the Gaziantep Zeugma Museum,
was finalized.
Customers who have sufficient limit on
their credit cards and who were identified
as interested in Installment Cash Advance
and Cash Advance services started to
be contacted by Erişim A.Ş. Customers
agreeing to use any of the two cash
advance services were able to realize their
transactions without having to visit bank
branches or ATMs.

UnionPay, a Chinese-based system, is the
world’s largest card payment method. As
of 2016, transactions made with UnionPay
cards are accepted in our virtual and
physical POS machines.
The “Maximum Aidatsız Kredi Kartı
(Maximum Fee-free Credit Card)” and “İş’te
Üniversiteli Aidatsız Kredi Kartı (Fee-free
Credit Card for University Students)”
products, which had been developed in
2014 for customers who do not wish to
pay monthly credit card fees in Turkey, also
started to be issued by branches located in
TRNC in 2015.
Users of “İş’te Üniversiteli (Credit Card for
University Students)” or “İş’te Üniversiteli
Aidatsız Kredi Kartı (Fee-free Credit Card
for University Students)” were enabled to
make use of Installment and Postponement
of Cash Transactions.
